The Weirdest Dream

 

     It was near midnight, everyone in the family was asleep. I was the only one awake in the house reading a weird but interesting book.

     And then I don’t know when I felt asleep.    Minutes later I was on an isolated island with my friend which seemed to submerge every minute. I smelled rotten fish here and there. Everything around me was totally opposite. Sharks, dolphins and whales were as small as rats. While I was thinking myself to be mad, my companion came and made me aware of the submerging island. This seemed like some fantastic movie tale to me.

     We roamed all over the island to find a boat or a person from whom we could get help so that we could leave this place as fast as we can. We were trying to find humans there, but could not even see a trace of human lifestyle and realized that this very place, where we were standing was not suitable for human habitat.  

     Suddenly we heard loud and scary noises behind us. I was too scared to turn back and look, when my pal turned, she shrieked so loudly that I didn’t even dare to look around and ran as fast as I could. After running a long distance, we turned to see if whatever was chasing us is far away so we could stop. But to my astonishment it was still following us!! We ran for our lives. At first, I didn’t understand what beast was after our lives. But after some while, when we had left the beast far away and were safe, we sat on a rock and thought about the monster for a moment, we were astonished when we realized that it was a porcupine but……. as big as a baby elephant!! But after a while I realized that during the chase, I had hurt myself and my leg was bleeding, but we had no choice but to cover it with a piece of cloth and walk on. 

     We realized that the island would not stay afloat more than an hour or two. I had an idea and I told my friend, “How about if we do not find anyone we could swim around and reach the shore.”  But she screamed at me at the highest pitch, “ The shore is a hundred yards away pal!!”

     And then she was so furious that it was equal to impossible for me to calm her down. I was extremely hungry and thirsty, besides there was so much water on all sides, I could not drink it because who knows what lives in it. But then I looked down in the water and saw a few piranhas which were as big as sharks. But I could not control my thirst and while trying to drink water I fell in the sea and was trying to swim back to the island and was screaming for help.

     Then I heard my sister’s voice and I was in a dilemma trying not to think that my sister is also on the island. But then I realized that it’s not possible for my sister to be there and scream, “Why the hell are you shouting and trying to swim in your bed!!”

     When I opened my eyes, I thought I was turning mad!! It was just a stupid, silly dream. But I wish it had an end.

     She was so shocked when I was screaming in my sleep.
